Very well cut, the diamond’s sparkle is bright and well defined rather than the crushed ice look commonly found in modern cushion cuts. This is one of the most desirable cushions that one can ask for! The brilliance is significantly better than an average cushion and truly must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. On the certification EGL-USA notated the diamond’s cut as old mine cut as that is the original cushion brilliant cut and the proportions are in line with an old mine cut. However, the pavilion faceting matches a modern cushion brilliant cut. It is possible that this is a vintage stone that was refined at some point in time to perfect the shape and light performance. The diamond received a color grade of G, and it faces up bright white with absolutely no warmth. The stone has crisp white color and does not have any brown, green or milky shades. Graded SI1 for clarity, the diamond is 100% eye clean. The few inclusions are too small to see with the naked eye.
